Get Recruited For Next Year's Robotics/MESA Class, This Afternoon!
Calling All Lively 6th and 7th Grade Girls and Guys at Hamilton! If you'd love to be in the Robotics / MESA class next year, you MUST attend the meeting this afternoon, immediately after school, in room 906.
Students in Robotics/MESA are challenged to design robots to compete in the California Vex Robotics Regional Competition, hosted by students and teachers from CAMS--the California Academy of Math and Science / Dominguez. (CAMS also holds a summer enrichment program to introduce VEX robotics to middle and elementary school students; and qualifies winners for the California State competition.)
The class also sends participants to the MESA Schools Program (MESA is short for Math, Engineering, and Science Achievement). The Cal State Long Beach Engineering Department sponsors this program, and their students and teachers work with Los Angeles area middle and high schools to prepare students to attend college,
