End Of Year Events 2016

All of Hamilton is looking forward to 8^th grade promotion, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 16.  It's also the final day of school (and a minimum day) for 6^th and 7^th graders!

Between now and June 16, many interesting and fun activities are planned.

For All Grade Levels 

The Hamilton Yearbook has arrived on campus!  Get your friends to let you sign their yearbook, and get them to sign yours!   Also, this year for the first time ever, pointing your smartphone at specially-marked pictures in the Yearbook will link you to special up-to-the-minute online content created by Hamilton students (requires the free Aurasma app; see details in the book).  A limited number of the 2016 "Linked" yearbooks may be still be available from Mrs. Kennedy for $40.

For 6th Graders

The Hamilton Game Day will take place Friday, June 10, for sixth graders ONLY.  Sign-ups for basketball and other activities will be available that morning.

For 7th Graders

The 7th Grade Field Day, set for Tuesday, June 14, periods 5 and 6, will involve various sports tournaments (basketball, soccer, volleyball), relay races, board games, and musical chairs/music.  Popsicles will be on sale! 

For 8^th Graders

Scheduled 8^th grade activities include:

• Cal State Long Beach Field Trip, June 2.  This trip, and a sack lunch, are free to eligible students.
• Ice Cream Social and Movie, June 8.  Ice cream will be distributed to eligible students after lunch at the lunch benches, to be followed by a movie in the Auditorium.
• Knott’s Berry Farm Trip, June 11.  Tickets for Knott’s Berry Farm are $47. Money for these tickets should also be turned into Ms. Kennedy as soon as possible. The last day tickets will be available is June 4.
• For all of these activities, the district dress code still applies, except that students may wear this year’s “Wolfie” T shirts.  (A few “Wolfie” T shirts are still available for $15.)

Supplies for T shirts, Knott’s Berry Farm tickets, and yearbooks are limited, so don’t wait to turn in your money.
