College Board / Khan Academy Signups

Earn Your Reward (4 Challenges)

Directions:  Have your teacher sign on the sheet provided, as you provide proof that you completed each of the following steps (click on the bold blue links for directions).  Submit the sheet with all four signatures to your teacher when finished. 

1)  Record Username & Password for Both Khan and College Board, Prove You Can Log Into Outlook Email, and Record Your Login Info In At Least Two Places.

     Show your teacher, for a signature!:

1. Open two Chrome windows, open both to this page, and arrange them side by side so you can see both at once.  [Hint:  with Chrome open, you can key command-N to open a second window.]
2. Click the following link in your righthand window, to bring up the User Name / Password generator page.  Create the login info you need for College Board and Khan Academy, then write the info you obtain down on the paper that your teacher gives you.  [You'll need to hang onto this paper!  Your teacher must sign it several times to make you eligible for your treat.]  When finished with this step, use back-arrow to make both window look the same again.
3. In your right-hand window, show that you can log into Outlook email.  Help your neighbor if they need help.  Then adjust the righthand window to look like the lefthand one again.
4. In the righthand window, click the link in the "Save Login Credentials" box, then follow directions in that same box here to key the information you wrote down into Google Drive, for safekeeping.  Note:  Hang onto the paper with your credentials:  your teacher will sign the back.  
5. Show your teacher the information you keyed into Google Drive and get your first signature.

2)  Create A Khan Academy Account.  

     Prove that you did this, for a signature!:

1. Get two Chrome windows open, both showing this page.
2. Go to Student Tutorial 07 (see left) in both windows.  [When finished, you will do tutorial 08, then 09.]
3. At the end, show your teacher your name in the upper left-hand corner of the Khan site for your signature.
4. Don't forget to log out before you go on to Tutorial 08!

3)  Create A College Board Account.

     Prove that you did this, for a signature!:

1. Again get two Chrome windows open, both showing this page.
2. Go to Student Tutorial 08 (see left) in both windows.
3. At the end, choose "My Plan" and show the teacher your first name in bright green for your signature.
4. Don't forget to log out before you go on to Tutorial 09!

4)  Link Your Khan Academy Account to the College Board

     Prove that you did this, for a signature!:

1. Again get two Chrome windows open, both showing this page.
2. Go to Student Tutorial 09 (see left) in both windows.
3. At the end, show your teacher the label "Test Results", and your name in the upper righthand corner of the screen, for your signature.
4. Be sure to log off everything before you quit.  (Remember these logins are "sticky"!!! Don't just close windows!  Log off!!)

You Did It!   Submit the half-page bearing all four (4) signatures to your teacher.  Receive your reward.

1)  Open a record sheet for your login info in another tab.

2)  Log into the Cloud, if necessary.

3)  Click File / Make A Copy ..., then Click OK.  The new, private copy will open.

4)  Enter the information requested, then show your teacher for credit.
