The library has a dual function of supporting the subject curriculum by providing fiction, non-fiction, and reference materials. In addition, the library also provides recreational reading materials in a variety of subjects and difficulty. All materials are previewed and approved in accordance with LBUSD policy.

Policies

• Students must present an ID card to check out books.
• Students can check out three items for two weeks.
• Materials can be renewed as necessary.
• No overdue fines are collected; however, no other materials may be checked out until books are returned.
• Students must pay for damaged or lost books. If lost books are found, the money will be refunded by the district.

Before and after school students may:

• check out or return library books
• work on school assignments
• work on the computers
• read 
• meet with friends and socialize
